Viollet le duc Notre dame
DescriptionEUGÈNE EMMANUEL VIOLLET-LE-DUC et Maurice OURADOU Paris, A.Morel, 1870, in-f°, contemporary half red morocco, spine gilt; 25 + (1) pp + 62 chromolitho-plates (numbered i - lx, a, b,) on stubs. The plates give the decorative details of the new polychromatic decoration of the 29 chapels of the Cathedral of Notre-Dame which was being restored by Viollet-le-Duc. M. Ouradou was, as Inspector of the Works, responsible for the drawings. The beautiful chromoplates were printed by Lemercier & Cie. Marginal foxing throughout, some local wear to binding , a very good copy. £750 |
